As our city grows, we continuously move forward on creating our own unique culture. The downtown area is and has been the heartbeat of our city. It’s where businesses, the farmer’s market, restaurants, and LIVE MUSIC happen, along with other areas. But Clarksville is the best kept secret of places to live, in my opinion, but more and more people are finding out about us and swarming in. They are welcome! We have been so spoiled, it’s time to share our super cool city. With that being said, here is my research on all the live music that happens on a recurring basis. Let’s keep it up, Clarksville! It’s a whole vibe:

WEDNESDAYS

Worship Wednesdays: This series happens consistently on the last Wednesday of every month. This event is located in the Downtown Commons, it’s free admission, and it’s a combination of churches around our city that have volunteered to take stage to bring worship to our community. Pick a date to come and bring the whole family!

The dates are as follows:

Oneal’s Bar and Grill: O’neal’s is a bar off of Madison Street that hosts really talented artists most (if not all) Wednesday nights!

THURSDAYS

Dock 17: Go grab dinner and drinks at Dock 17 on Thursday nights to listen to live music, we have rotating artists that offer background music while dining. Afterwards, head to the bowling lounge or play a round of mini golf to extend that Thursday date night before spending the weekends with your family!

FRIDAYS

The River Club: Enjoy live music after a round of golf or just throughout your dinner at The River’s Edge Grille. They offer live music every Friday AND Saturday night. So head on over to the 19th tee for some fun!

Downtown at Sundown: The Downtown Commons also hosts this concert series that occurs every other Friday throughout the Summer. It’s a great way to enjoy live music for the whole family at no cost! You can eat at a restaurant downtown right before the concert starts or hit a food truck that is parked around the edge of the greens!

Edwards: If planning a dinner outing, keep in mind that Edwards offers live piano every Friday AND Saturday night! Eat a nice steak with wine and enjoy a talented pianist while you’re doing so! It’s truly a fine experience!

SATURDAYS

@beachavenwine

Jazz on the Lawn: This is such a sweet experience that has been around for years now. This year they are introducing a bit of change, so tune in! Beachaven Winery is hosting three large event days. They are broken into two sessions to include 6 bands total for the summer. For years 18+, there is a $5 cover charge, but anyone below that age is free to attend! Don’t worry, if you want to enjoy both bands for the day’s two sessions, you’re welcome to stay the entire day! You can also enjoy food trucks and their local wine, so bring a quilt (or chairs) and enjoy!

  • The two session times are 3:00pm-5:00pm and 6:30pm-9:30pm
  • The three dates are: June 18th, August 20th, and October 22nd

Revel House: Wowowow. They are such a hip place to go watch live bands. This venue is for the music lover, for sure. Their energy and love for live music is top of the charts in this town. You’ll have to watch their page for the upcoming artists that they book, but they host most days throughout the weekend, most weekends. I put them on Saturday just because this is the most poppin’ day! You can also have food and drinks here, so go hungry!

Saturday Summer Concerts: Old Glory hosts a series of Saturday concerts June through September. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. It’s a blast, and only $5 for the entrance fee for adults, and kids are free! They have food trucks set up, yard games, and you’re even allowed to bring in outside food to enjoy on lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. Be prepared to enjoy Old Glory Cocktails and local craft beer.

  • June 4th
  • July 16th
  • August 6th
  • September 3rd

SUNDAYS

Thirsty Goat: Thirsty Goat is also such a hip atmosphere. They’ve got pizza, they’ve got beer, they have LIVE MUSIC, AND they’re now introducing SINGO, a form of bingo in song format. I put Thirsty Goat down for live music on Sundays because they sometimes have live music on Sundays, but mostly it’s because SINGO is on Sundays! How fun! Go try something new with the family!

I have probably missed a few places that offer consistent music, The Warehouse is another venue not mentioned above, but you’ll have to pay attention to the artists that are upcoming to enjoy via your chosen genre. The Mad Herbalist is another really awesome, aesthetically pleasing location to enjoy the atmosphere and live music, but you’ll just have to keep a look out for those places to post when they have music available! ENJOY, spread the news, and let’s keep supporting these local businesses and local artists around town!
